Marise Cardoso is djiiva*, Brazilian born, architect by training working in the world of Music and Culture in Europe and Latin America since 2000, and, from 2014 in the Middle East.
Driven by a passion for the arts, her roles includes DJ & Music Producer, Performance Artist and Festival Producer, all of which have contributed to making her a dynamic, multi-faceted cultural entrepreneur.
djiiva* has been has been a key element in the Barcelona Music scene for over 10 years. She has been touring between Europe, South America, Asia and Middle East, performing in clubs and festivals in more then 20 countries in cities like BERLIN, Shanghai, BARCELONA, Ibiza, DUBAI, Beirut, ABU DHABI, Beijing, RIO de JANEIRO, São Paulo, PARIS, Brussels, BOGOTA, Geneva, ISTAMBUL, Madrid, LONDON, Santiago de Chile, BUENOS AIRES, Lisboa, CARACAS, Salvador and many others.
She is also part of NSISTA, impressive audiovisual project with her younger sister, Amarilis. NSISTA has an original and delightfully fresh mix, composed from electronic beats mixed with Afro-Latin rhythms, interesting vocal games and impelling stage performance.
Marise also has an extensive knowledge of the Music Industry, History of Music and New Tendencies. Been part of the most important Music Conferences related with Wold Music and New Tendencies since 2008, as Womex, Primavera Sound Pro, Circulart, Sonar Pro, MicSur, Porto Musical, Sotx Beijing.
As a DJ & producer, djiiva* explores the intersection of Urban & World Music with sounds of Funk, House, Disco, Chill Out and Jazz always mixed with Tropical Spices, surprising the audience with her elegant and powerful female flow.
Nowadays she lives and works in Dubai, UAE.
